In this example, the artist is using two pencils taped together! This produces more expressive drawing, as you are losing control to a small degree but you quickly get multiple lines for the price of one stroke. You can tap 3 or 4 pencils together and be even more creative. You can mix the choice by choosing coloured pencils, charcoal, pastel and so on… It really is down to your imagination, but you do need to be introduced to these other ways of working.
